This is one of the most famous chocolate snacks in Japan from a manufacturer Meiji. There are two major forces, this bamboo shoot shaped chocolate snack “Takenokonosato” and “Kinokonoyama” which is mushroom shaped chocolate snack.

The difference is mainly cookie/pretzel part. “Kinokonoyama” is less sweet I think. This product has some different flavors.

This time I tried this, brown sugar syrup & soybean powder flavor. This combination is called “kuromitsu & kinako” and they are very popular in Japan.
