This is my first time to see this local confection from a place called Satsuma. Satsuma is now called “Kagoshima” where is located in the south part of Japan.

I really like this kind of “shiroan” sweets! Shiroan is made from white beans called “ingenmame”. I think even if you don’t like “anko” (sweet red bean paste) you must like “shiroan”. It goes well with western sweets too!

There are three different flavors in this product, milk, sweet potato (annouimo) and kinkan (kind of orange).
