This bread is similar to a “melonpan”. “Melonpan” is one of the most popular sweet breads in Japan. “Melonpan” is round shape and covered with cookie dough outside.
“Melonpan” does not always have melon flavor. This time they feature lemon. The outside cookie dough has lemon flavor and the filling inside has also lemon flavor.
