This sweet is Momiji Manju, a famous confectionary from a place called Hiroshima, located in the west of Japan.
Inside the bun, there are some chewy white bean paste made from Otefume beans. It has a slight yuzu flavor.
Taste |
★★★★☆ Good! I was able to enjoy the yuzu (Japanese citrus) flavor with the sweet white bean paste inside. The texture was a little sticky. |

Easy to get? |
★★★☆☆ I got this at AEON, one of the biggest supermarkets in Japan. They don’t usually sell them, but I was able to buy some because they were having a fair of local confection. It seems that we can buy them anytime at the manufacturer Nishikido’s online store. |
Get again? |
★★★★☆ Probably yes! |
